JOA has had the pleasure to work with several customers in realizing a cooler working environment for their employees. Our approach to improving factory climate originates from basic science used in many hot weather locations.
Factory climate improvement projects have taken place in industries with extruders, ovens, coaters and impregnators whereby the process temperatures can be in the 400-500⁰ Fahrenheit range. This can create very hot areas within a production facility especially in the warmer months of the year. Our approach to improving factory climate originates from basic science used in many hot weather locations (islands, beaches, etc.). The idea is that when air is blown across your face, it creates a cooling effect. This continuous air movement causes the evaporation of sweat from the skin surface and has a cooling effect due to evaporative cooling.
In factory environments, when working with hot production processes, it is very common to experience higher than normal temperatures near the lines. Also, in many cases, these areas have very tight quarters or low mezzanines which further increases the temperatures as the air has nowhere to go. We have experienced temperatures in the 95–125⁰ Fahrenheit range in some cases. This is where JOA comes in.
With the application of JOA Cool Jet™ technology, we have been able to reduce temperatures in target production areas from 8-15⁰ Fahrenheit. This has greatly impacted the production personnel on the floor and improved their factory environment.
If you have a challenge with hot production processes adversely impacting your factory climate, JOA can help determine the root of the problem. In many cases, effective heat and vapor capture, and strategic plant ventilation can make notable improvements. Specifically, the application of Cool Jets™ with appropriate ambient air or conditioned air can make a big difference. In all cases, JOA will provide a guaranteed climate improvement solution to achieve the factory climate goals you are seeking.
